Women’s Bridge Resource Center (WBRC), located near TPUUF in Eagleville, PA, is our June recipient for Sharing the Plate. Operating on several themes “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself,” “Walking together, carrying each other’s load with Love,” and “Encourage one another and build up each other.” WBRC’s mission is “to help women in crisis or transition achieve financial security, find adequate housing, obtain sustainable employment, and gain emotional stability. WBRC helps its clients to indentify critical needs: housing, food and clothing, employment, health, education, financial issues, parenting issues, legal issues, and escaping domestic violence. The staff at WBRC, operating in the strictest confidence and with caring and compassion, provides help with developing an action plan, referrals to appropriate social service agencies and professionals, resume preparation, job search and interview skills, and parenting skills.
