Speaker: Rev. Bryant Brown

Religious Freedom and Tolerance

From our Unitarian heritage: It’s the 449th anniversary of the edict in Transylvania which you might consider the first legal guarantee of religious freedom in the Europe! The idea still needs our efforts.

Fire

Along with reminding us of what we hold precious in the new year and letting go, in a blaze, of what we’d rather leave behind, we’ll look at vows, promises, and covenants.

Christmas Eve Candles

With songs and stories and dance and the light of candles – that’s how we welcome a magical time. Let’s come together at The Fellowship at 7 p.m. to begin.

Mutual Aid

We help one another. It is what we do. It is what we can do. It is worth our consideration and celebration. We will also light our Advent Candle.
CFD Classes and Nursery Care will be available for our young people.

Dates We Remember

Some dates on the calendar are there for celebration, some to keep us from forgetting losses and sacrifices. Let’s look at a few in a UU sort of way.

Two Sons

When a story begins “a man had two sons” usually one is held up as good and one as not-so-good. It isn’t always easy to tell which is which.

Fifth Principle

We Unitarian Universalists have, uniquely, a religious principle about affirming and promoting the democratic process. What a great time to hold that up.

Turtles

As one of our 50th Anniversary events, Rev. David Pyle, a leader in our Central East Region staff, will be sharing the pulpit for a look at real beginnings, deep down.

Talents

There’s the story about the rich man who gave large amounts of money to his servants, then left town. Is the story about investing, or something more in line with our Principles?
