“Soon the Day Will Arrive” is a wonderful hymn (#146) about hope for a better future. But I think that sometimes we get lost in the chorus, namely “Wait and
see, wait and see what a world there can be…” It is so easy to sit back and wait, for change, for justice, for a better world… when what is needed is action. This is especially true of the injustices we tolerate or even help to create and sustain. This is sure to be a challenging service, but one where hopefully we can help become more active participants in creating justice.
