Although December is a winter month of darkness and cold, it is also a time filled with holidays celebrating light and warmth. Starting tonight is Hanukkah, The Festival of Lights. It is at its root a celebration of light as both miracle and wonder, the miracle of lasting light and the wonder of light in darkness.
