Storyteller Bob Branch, a historical reenactor, brings 19th century civil rights activist Octavius Catto to life for us. Dressed in authentic costume and speaking in the first person, Branch recounts the heroic life and unfortunate fate of Catto, interspersing the story with direct quotes of this important historical figure who, with the unveiling in Philadelphia this past year of a statue honoring him, is finally receiving the wider recognition and admiration he richly deserves.
