Since 2016, churches, synagogues, and mosques in the United States, have been losing members at a rate of 1% every year. The idea of a supernatural God outside ourselves that can be petitioned is becoming increasingly problematic in our modern world. With both the Bible and Ralph Waldo Emerson as our guides, we might find a spirituality that is a fit for us today.
