Poetry has a long history of influence in Unitarian Universalism, inspiring many of our hymns and readings, and informing our worship life. And no wonder! Poems, like other art forms, transform us. This morning, we’ll explore the ways poetry awakens us to wonder, compassion, interconnection, and prophetic deeds.
Rev. Dr. Fees is minister at the First UU Church of Berks County in Reading, PA, where she has served for 15 years. She has a Master of Arts degree in literature from Syracuse University, and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Lancaster Theological Seminary. She is poet laureate of Berks County and author of two poetry chapbooks.
