Each month, the Thomas Paine Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Social Action Committee selects a charity that meets the values and principles of Unitarian Universalism. This month’s recipient is CeaseFirePA.
CeaseFirePA is a statewide organization working with mayors, police, faith leaders, community organizations and individual Pennsylvanians to take a stand against gun violence. They organize trips to sites when/where action is needed. They send out news alerts keeping members current on gun bills/votes/actions in Harrisburg. Through outreach, education, coalition building and advocacy CeaseFirePA works to reduce gun tragedies in our communities, stop the flow of illegal guns onto our streets and keep guns out of the hands of people who should not have them.
CeaseFirePA is local. It is here and now you can help make the changes we need. You can be part of the solution.
More information is available at the back of the sanctuary & on the bulletin board.
