On Sunday, May 6th, Thomas Paine Unitarian Universalist Fellowship celebrated our annual tribute to famed UU troubadour, Pete Seeger, in a service that included a very special Child Dedication and New Member recognition for our newest additions to the TPUUF family.  This annual service, regularly held on the first Sunday in May to honor Pete Seeger’s birthday, features various performances of Pete’s music and tributes to his legacy.  This year’s service included the Ames Brothers’ The Man with the Banjo performed by David and Christine Perry, Pete’s Quiet Early Morning performed by Jerry Lazzaro and Mike Strauss, and a recording of Pete with the Rivertown Kids Children’s Choir singing Bob Dylan’s Forever Young.  The service ended with our traditional rendering of If I had a Hammer, sung with gusto by the entire congregation and led by Jerry Lazzaro.
