We are forming a new affinity group this spring called “Gardening As a Spiritual Practice” (working title). This group will meet from Spring to Fall on an irregular basis to prepare planting beds, plant flowers, pull weeds, and discuss gardening ideas, techniques and trends. Besides serving to beautify our grounds — for ourselves, our visitors and our building users – we will explore how getting closer to the earth and working in nature can bring clarity and peacefulness to our lives. Affinity groups fall under the Congregational Life Committee. This group will work closely with the Building and Grounds committee on new horticultural ideas for our property. We are definitely looking for people with gardening experience and knowledge, but even if you have no experience, please get involved if it interests you. Questions? Contact Christine Perry.
