Where is the Love?

Looking at the world around us, we see so much division, hate, and intolerance. Many perpetrators point to their targets and blame the victims for their behaviors. This is simply not true. Many of us suffer from a highly contagious and infectious disease called “isms.” You heard of it. The symptoms are racism, terrorism, sexism, and ageism. This disease is often triggered by fear and ignorance. The good news is that there is treatment for us.  A metaphoric intravenous shot of love that would travel from the heart through the veins to the brain and eradicate the symptoms.

But wait. Don’t we already love one another? Statistics tell us that more than half of American Citizens today profess to a religious or higher belief system that incorporates love as a major tenet or value. If this statistic is true, then “Where is the Love?”
