In the science-fiction universe of Star Trek, there is a race of beings called the Borg, whose existence comes from taking over and assimilating other species – these hostile aliens often say, “Resistance is futile!” For us here on earth, it sometimes feels that resistance to evil is futile: for what impact can our actions have on all the hate and pain in the world? Today we come together to question the Borg and our despair to see if resistance is indeed, futile.
