Healing Society Through Judicial Reform

Our Second Principle is belief in justice, equity and compassion in human relations. Natasha Taylor-Smith is an Assistant Federal Defender at the Federal Community Defender Office-Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She represents defendants in federal cases and has represented people at every level of the courts. She will provide a window into her experiences with the justice system and why judges, District Attorneys, and Attorneys General matter. Our Soul Matters theme for November is “healing,” and Natasha will speak about the history and future of judicial reform and how it can heal some of the wounds that remain in our society.
