Please join the TPUUF Welcoming Congregation Task Force and our guest worship leader, Spider Perry, for a special service in honor of Pride month. Spider Perry is a Jewish artist, author and activist, deeply involved in disability, Jewish and queer activism. Spider will speak from experience on LGBTQ+ identity and spirituality, and the intersections of various identities across a spectrum. Members of our Welcoming Congregation Task Force will extend our celebration of Pride month and recognition of growing edges as we continue to learn and work toward equality through songs and readings.
Spider Perry and their spouse own NerdyKeppie, creating nerdy, punk and Pride clothing, accessories and Judaica. Spider has written for Onyx Path Publishing, Nisaba Fiction, and Green Ronin Publishing, as well as independently publishing fiction, and has consulted on queer inclusion on multiple RPG lines. They most recently spoke as part of a panel on LGBTQ+ Identity and Spirituality as part of the Civil Conversations series hosted by Love in Action UCC, SAGA Community Center and Interfaith Philadelphia. Spider lives in Montgomery County, PA with their spouse, daughter, three dogs, and two embroidery machines.
