NURTURING GRATITUDE
November 2025
Much of our the way we approach life can be molded and shaped by our internal mindset. This is true of gratitude – practicing acts of gratitude helps us feel more thankful. Our ministry theme for November is “Nurturing Gratitude” (check out all the year’s themes here: soulmatterssharingcircle.com/themes.html). And our spiritual practice is to increase of personal habits of giving thanks.
The spiritual practice for November is to write “thank you” notes. Reach out and express your gratitude to people in your life. It can be a message to yourself, a letter to a relative, a note for your barista or mail-carrier… there is no limit to those whom we can thank. As a goal, aim for 2 notes a week this month. (Of course, you may aim higher and write more.) If 30 of us send 2 notes each week this month, that’s 240 pieces of love and positive energy! We will definitely be nurturing gratitude in ourselves and in the wider world.
Just as millions of snowflakes pile up to create a blanket of snow, the “thank yous” we say pile up and fall gently upon one another until, in our hearts and minds, we are adrift in gratitude.
